TIVAR™ Oil Filled UHMW-PE is an ultra high molecular weight polyethylene material that truly lives up to the self-lubricating description. TIVAR™ VMX FG UHMW-PE (Food Grade) is an EU 10/2011 and FDA 21 CFR § 177.1520 compliant material containing a metal and X-ray detectable additive. The material has been specifically tailored for use in the food processing and packaging industries where it can easily be traced by different detection systems installed to detect contamination of the foodstuffs. TIVAR™ VMX FG UHMW-PE presents excellent toughness and impact strength and even improved wear and abrasion resistance compared with TIVAR™ 1000 UHMW-PE and therefore make this grade especially suited for wear and friction applications.
TIVAR™ BurnGuard UHMW-PE
TIVAR™ BurnGuard UHMW-PE is a static dissipative and flame retardant material specifically developed to improve the flammability behavior of unfilled polyethylene grades. This grade in particular possesses a UL94 V-0 flammability rating. TIVAR™ Xtended Wear UHMW-PE is a ceramic-filled and partially cross-linked material for improved wear resistance. This modified formula retains all the key properties of TIVAR™ UHMW-PE including low friction surface, wear and corrosion resistance and impact strength. TIVAR™ SuperPlus UHMW-PE is a wear-optimized, partially cross-linked material with an extremely high degree of polymerization for use in the most demanding applications and environments. When used for drainage elements in paper machinery, this TIVAR™ UHMW-PE grade generally offers better wear and sliding performance than TIVAR™ Ceram P UHMW-PE. It can perform in high temperature applications up to 107 degrees Celsius without property degradation.
